He was predeceased by: his wife Ann; his son Philip; his parents, Bernice McKinley and Jewell Bailey; and his siblings, Orville Bailey, Jackie Tatum and Doyce Bailey.
He is survived by: his sons, James Bailey (Teresa) and John Bailey (Mary Margaret); his grandchildren, Andrew Bailey (Jenny), Curtis Bailey, Jonathan Bailey (Emily), Meagan Oates (Harris), Kendall Ann Bailey and Elizabeth Bailey; his great grandchildren, John Winters Bailey, Ann Hopkins Bailey, Mary Warren Bailey, Jonathan Wade Bailey and Marion Martha Oates; and his sisters-in-law, Sylvia Bailey and Margaret Louise Mullins. He is also survived by four nieces and four nephews.
