With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernestine Cothran of Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on October 7, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest King and Nell King; and her brother Bob. She is survived by: her husband Charles Cothran; her sister Faye Nell Lingerfelt; her children, Brad Cothran, Leslie Thrasher and Jan Cothran; and her grandchildren, Hunter Cothran, Alexa Loftin, Olivia Hykle, Colton Thrasher and Luke Thrasher. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at 10100 SE Westleigh Dr, Huntsville, AL 35803.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a local educational scholarship fund in Ernestine's name, honoring her lifelong commitment to learning.
