He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Lee and Johnnie Mae Tyson; his daughter Chanda Gardner; and his siblings, William, Wallace, Emmett Tyson and Freddie Mae Green.
He is survived by: his daughter Dawn Marie Tyson of Middletown, CT; his close friend Pamela Thompson of Huntsville, AL; his siblings, Leotis Tyson Sr. (Shirley) of Eden, NC, Barbara Wiggins, Lillie Head (Wilbert) of Writz, VA and Joyce Christian (Will) of Gulfport, MS; his sister-in-law Imagene Tyson of Cedar Hill, TX.; and his grandchildren, Cameron Harrison, Chavone and Teiya Gardner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
