She was predeceased by: her parents, J. W. Russum and Virginia Russum of Oneonta; and her husband Alton F. Thompson, Jr..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laughlin Service Funeral Home (2320 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville, AL 35805). A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (991 1st Ave E, Oneonta, AL 35121).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Alabama Chapter of the American Red Cross.
