James Gary Ferris Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Gary Ferris of Huntsville, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 10, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Gary Ferris to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Ferris and Marcele Holloway Ferris; his sister Marsha Kay Ferris of Sullivan, IN; and his great-grandparent Jeffrey Ferris (Jim). He is survived by: his wife Carol Burdis Ferris; his daughter Michelle Nadine Carter (Victor) of Huntsville; and his siblings, Jeri Lynn Alsman of Sullivan, IN, Daniel Robert Ferris (Lynn) of Lawrenceville, GA and Debra Banta (Irvin). He is also survived by his parents; grandparents; and numerous relatives.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:15 PM. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Haynes Cemetery (700 Last Rd, Gilson, IL 61436).
Jim loved to grow flowers so he asked that instead of flowers, memorials be made to any of the following: National Explosive Ordnance Disposal Association (http://www.nateoda.org); Abingdon Historical Society, 113 S.
