He was predeceased by: his father Joe Dye; and his grandparents, John, Mildred Loveday, Vance and Ruby Dye.

He is survived by: his mother Faye Dye; his sons, John (Cassidy), Will (Parker) and Matthew Dye; his sister Toni Brooks (Kenny); and his grandson Johnson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Central Volunteer Fire Department.
