He is survived by: his wife Helen Nelson; his children, Scott Nelson, Sharon Saam (John), Dan Nelson (Trish) and Rob Nelson (Ashley); his siblings, Doris Haynes (O. L.), Brenda Berry (Billy), Glenda Burroughs and Jay Nelson (Ann); and his grandsons, Matt Mitchell (Morgan), Jeff Mitchell (Ellie), Evan Nelson and Pierce Nelson.
