He was predeceased by: his parents, John Clay Smith and Lillie Spears Smith; his former wife Margie; and his siblings, Udell Smith, Christine Griffin (Will Griffin), Mavis Scott (Joe Scott), Shirley Ann Smith, Ester Smith and Evlyn Hampton (James Hampton).
He is survived by: his son Cedric Smith; and his sister Clotie Simmons (Eugene Simmons). He is also survived by 27 nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the North Hardin Memorial Gardens (1100 S Logsdon Pkwy, Radcliff, KY 40160).
