She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerald Ayers and Laura Thompson Ayers; her daughter Barbara Allyn Long; her sister Geraldine Northcutt; her brother-in-law Ron Northcutt; and her stepmother Emma Lou McElmurry Ayers.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Long (Julia) of Burke and Todd Long (Jina) of Huntsville, Alabama.. She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
