He is survived by: his wife Melissa Wilson Smith; his brother-in-law Donald Lee Smith; his daughter Dr. Kristina Smith Walker; his son-in-law Dr. Eddie Gene Walker II; his son Dr. Jonathan Kindred Smith; his daughter-in-law Christine Collier Smith; and his grandsons, Benjamin Kindred Smith and Nicholas Kindred Smith.
