She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby Opal McWilliams and Martin Marion Miller. She is survived by: her siblings, Patsy Ruth, Jack Martin, Mary June and Peggy Sue; her husband John Burns Smith; her children, Diane Smith Zimmerman (Arthur B. (Huntsville), Pamela Smith Cook (William Michael) and J. Burns Smith Jr. of Madison, MS; and her sister Mary Long (Houston). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Laughlin Service Funeral Home (2320 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville, AL 35805). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
