She was predeceased by: her parents, Mable Lowe and Grover Lowe; and her son Jeff Watkins. She is survived by: her close friend Joe Barran; her children, Jennifer Jacobs, Tracy Watkins and Tony Watkins; and her siblings, Ruth Tervol, Fran Taylor, Rick Lowe and John Lowe.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross in her memory.
