With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard Wright Kitchens of Huntsville, Alabama, born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Richard left this world on June 25, 2025 at the age of 72, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Mary Edith Kitchens; and his brother Dr. Lloyd Wade Kitchens, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Anne; his children, Brandon William Kitchens (Danielle) of Long Beach and Katherine Ham (Jon Ham) of Opelika, Alabama.; his stepson Christopher Lee Moore of Birmingham, Alabama.; his grandchildren, Charlie Ham, Maggie and Mercer Ham; and his brother James Warren Kitchens (Jim). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (600 Governors Dr SE, Huntsville, AL 35801). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
