She is survived by: her husband Charles David McElwee; her daughter Leigh Ann McElwee Bridges; her son-in-law Stuart Daniel Bridges; her granddaughters, Abigail Leigh Bridges (Hudson Howell Morris), Annabelle Lindsey Bridges and Kristin Bridges Howard; her great grandchildren, Caroline Eleanor Howard and William "Will" Thomas Howard III; her sister-in-law Sandra Davis Hamilton; and her nephews, Keith Davis, Kevin Davis and Steven Smith. She is also survived by extended family members, dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Fairview Baptist Church (5295 Fairview Rd, Gadsden, AL 35904). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
