It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sue Mitchell in Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Sue may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sue touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her father Henry Standridge; and her husband Royce E. Mitchell. She is survived by: her sister Caroline; her mother Ella Standridge; and her children, Rhett, Jennie, Mark and Melissa Mitchell. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
