He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Mann Dickson and Cyprian Cross Dickson; and his sons, William "Bill" Emory Dickson, Jr. and Carl Allan Dickson. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Jumper Dickson; his daughter Donna Dickson Smith of Huntsville, AL; his daughter-in-law Mary Kirkland Dickson of Olathe, SC; his grandchildren, Ashley Hannah Smith of Huntsville, Cyprian Clay Dickson (Alex) of Charlotte, NC, Sydney Smith Howard (Greg) of Wetumpka, AL and Kirkland Elizabeth Dickson of Washington, D. C.; his great grandchildren, Stella, Trent, Tucker, Ben and Julia; and his pet Buddy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Whitesburg Baptist Church South Campus (7300 Whitesburg Dr, Huntsville, AL 35802). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM and at 12:30 PM at the same location. He retired from HH in 2020 at the onset of COVID at the age of 90.
