He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel Benson Reed; and his children, Donna Jo Reed and Dale Claborn Reed. He is survived by: his son William Bruce Reed (Donna Dickson Reed); his daughter-in-law Robin Pepper Reed; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Abernathy, Amanda Reed, Cheryl Clark, Clay Reed and Ashley Beaty. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
