Charlotte Godwin Tanner Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Charlotte Godwin Tanner of Ider, Alabama. Charlotte, born on January 11, 1955, passed away on September 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Almer Lee and Eva Estelle Bryant Godwin; her daughter Tracy Tanner Keith; and her brother Travis Godwin. She is survived by: her husband Butch Tanner; her daughter Kelly Felicia Tanner; her grandchildren, Taylor Haddock (Eli), Toby Keith, Tanner Britt (Breanna) and Reagan Britt (Will); her great grandchildren, Emmett Haddock and Trenton Jacob Haddock; and her brother Waymon Godwin.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Corner Stone Funeral Chapel (40 Cornerstone Dr, Ider, AL 35981). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Mountain Home Cemetery.
