James Wayne Johnson Sr. Obituary
We bid farewell to James Wayne Johnson Sr. of Ider, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 28, 2025 at the age of 82. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Casey Delight and Joyce Ruth Walker Johnson; his siblings, Jean Shull (Cohen Johnson), Gary Johnson (Brenda Pryor) and David Johnson (Kenneth Johnson); his nephews, Terry Shull, Nathan Shull and John Capps; and also Jessica Pryor.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Elaine Johnson; his children, Darlene Jackson (Ron), Jamie Johnson and Jeremy Johnson (Kelly); his grandchildren, Jeff Jackson (Brittany), Jennifer Jackson, Madison Shrader (Jake), Logan Johnson (Cheyenne) and Lilly Johnson; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Cora, Laiklyn, Ansley, Grayson and Jedson; and his siblings, Gloria Lawson, Angel Johnson, Grail Johnson (Delores) and Claudette Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Corner Stone Funeral Chapel (40 Cornerstone Dr, Ider, AL 35981). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
