He was predeceased by: his parents, Haskel Auther and Cloa Byrd Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Marlene York Thomas; his children, Mary Ann Harris (Michael) and Larry Wayne Thomas Jr.; his grandchildren, Annabelle Marshall (Kris), Wyatt Harris, Brittney Thomas and Dylan Thomas; his great grandchildren, Leighton Marshall, Amelia Marshall and Damon Marshall; and his siblings, Carolyn Stephens (Kelley) and Johnny Thomas (Judy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Corner Stone Funeral Chapel (40 Cornerstone Dr, Ider, AL 35981). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
