He was predeceased by: his great-nephew Christopher Allen Johnston; his wife Janice Johnston; and his parents, Maxwell Johnston and Ladena Johnston. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Johnston of Pisgah and Matt Johnston (Tammy) of Pisgah; his stepchildren, Randy Weeks (Lisa) of Arizona, Jolene Capparelle (Frank) of Arizona and Kelly Jacks of Arkansas; his siblings, Jimmy Johnston of Tuscan, Arizona and Brenda Headlee (Richard) of Phoenix, Arizona; his siblings' children, Christina Jensen, David Staples, Willie Staples and John Paul Kennedy; his spiritual daughter Liz Figueroa; and his grandson Aaron Weeks. He is also survived by Grandchildren: 22 Great Grandchildren.
