We are sad to announce that on August 10, 2023, at the age of 79, Dorothy Barnes of Irvington, Alabama, born in Bayou la Batre, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Richard Leon Barnes; her parents, Charles Cain and Matilda Cain; and her siblings, Mildred Stork, Ann Barnes, Doris Waldron (TeTe), Marcella Nelson, Margarite McQuaid and Charles Cain (Junior).

She is survived by : her children, Richelle Harbison (Russell), Ellen Steele (Ralph), Richard Barnes (Karla), Dana Johnson (Ashley), Johnny Barnes and Ladonna Seaman; and her brother Paul Cain. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
