It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William E. Richter III of Jack, Alabama, who passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, William shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid William farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Rebecca S. Richter; and his parents, Bill Richter and Iris Richter. He is survived by: his wife Patsy B. Richter of Jack, AL; his sons, Jeb Stuart Richter (Emily) of Tuscaloosa, AL and Joshua King Richter (Ashley) of New Hope, AL; his stepsons, Charles C. Huskins (Mary) of Waxahachie, TX and Leonard M. Thompson, Jr. (Heather) of Westminster, CO; his granddaughters, Allyson Rebecca Richter and Abigail Lynn Thompson; and his sister Norma Riley of Andalusia, AL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
