He is survived by: his children, Darryl Cabaniss, Lance Cabaniss (Jill) and Candyce Morgese (Larry); his grandchildren, Storm, Cody, Chase, Sydney and Sophie; and his sister Mary Sue Morgan (Tude). He is also survived by his three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Charles Cabaniss to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
