She was predeceased by: her son Clay Deandre Young; and her brother Derrick O'Neal Simon. She is survived by: her mother Marilyn Simon; her siblings, Charlie Simon of Jackson, AL, David Gray of Jackson, AL, Christopher Michael Gray of Jackson, AL and Petina St (Kenson); her aunt Christie Mae Simon; her uncles, Robert Robinson, Joe English, James Simon and William Robinson; her close friends, Diane Richardson, Sheneka Sewell, Sylvia Jackson and Eugene Leverett; and her friend Marilyn Simon. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church (56 New Canaan Church Road, Choctaw Bluff, Alabama).
