He was predeceased by : his parents, Elwood, Sr. Overstreet and Louise Overstreet; his granddaughter Courtlyn Reed; and his brother-in-law James Shipp. He is survived by : his wife Beth Overstreet; his daughters, Jill Goolsby (Rick), Lauren Reed (Brandon) and Courtney Clark (Todd); his grandchildren, Robin Swift (Allison), Madison Reed, Maggie Reed, Lillie Grace Reed, Ainsley Clark and Ada Quinn Clark; his great grandchild Frances Swift; and his siblings, Patricia Shipp, Elwood "Sonny" Overstreet (Carolyn) and Joe Overstreet (Margie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Jackson (214 College Ave, Jackson, AL 36545). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
