She was predeceased by: her mother Irene Howze Coleman; and her sister Beulah Canton. She is survived by: her father Ezell Coats of Coffeeville; her fiancé Lenard F. Gaston of Jackson; her stepfather Willie Coleman; her brother Kenneth Coates of Jackson; her close friend Diteshia Gaston of Jackson; and her sibling's children, Tasha Coats of Coffeeville, Katherine Grayson of Coffeeville, Jasmine Coates of Jackson and Henri Canton of Thomasville. She is also survived by five great-nieces, one great-nephew, one great-great-nephew, with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
