Gaines Ray Pezent Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 21, 2022, at the age of 95, Gaines Ray Pezent of Jackson, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nathan Pezent and Alice Blanche Leonard Pezent; his siblings, Joe Pezent, Erby Pezent, James Pezent, Mike Pezent, Lois P. Wilson and Herbert Pezent; and his sons-in-law, Johnny Bradford and Louie E. "Buck" Pepper.

He is survived by: his wife Freddie Nell Woods Pezent; his brother Charles Pezent (Kathryn); his children, Judie Martin (Charles), Betty Hentschel (Bobby), Rebecca Bradford, Tony Andress (Patty), Ray Pezent and Danny Pezent; his grandchildren, Jill Goolsby (Rick), Caroline Jackson (Jay), John Hentschel (Sarah), Carli Johnston (Clay) and Rae Adams (Eric); his stepgrandchildren, Robby Hentschel, Candy Hentschel, Chad Bradford and Kim Harrell (Jamie); his great grandchildren, Robin Swift (Allison), Joshua Brown, Barrett Brown, Lander Johnston, Emalise Johnston, Eliza Johnston, Pepper Adams and Freddy Adams; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Sara Overstreet, Brennan Overstreet, Isabel Harrell and Bradford Harrell. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorials in his memory may be made to Rockville Baptist Church or the White Smith Memorial Library.
