Glenda Motes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Glenda Motes (Jackson, Alabama), who passed away on September 22, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elie Joseph Ledet and Velma Theresa Hebert Ledet; her sisters, Sherry McQueen, Lois Dupuy and Debbie Gould; her daughter Barbara Simmons (Earl); her daughter-in-law Alice Motes; and her grandson Dennis Turgun.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas J. Motes, Sr.; her children, David Motes (Elizabeth), Kenny Motes, Lisa Lanier (Starlin), Tammie Clarke, Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" Motes (Donna), Martha Gramelspacher (Kevin), Jim Motes and Theresa Burge (Ian); her grandchildren, Matthew, Nathanael, Sarah, Daniel, Tim, Michael, Karen, Robert, Kelly, Kenneth, Blake, Adam, Ben, Jonathan, Alex, Jeneane, Skylar, Melissa, Steven, Cody of Kevin, T. J., Tyler, Zack, Joseph, Christopher, Amerie, Adrianna, Paul, Elise, Brandon, Ethan, Ladd, Mary Margaret, Eli, Michelle and David Earl; and her sisters, Janet Forrest and Norma Fury. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
