It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Morgan Richardson (Jackson, Alabama), who passed away on April 21, 2026, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Robert "Smokey" Richardson; and his sisters, Evelyn "Cookie" Balestier and Ophelia Leffler. He is survived by: his mother Ruby Richardson; his siblings, Robert Richardson Jr., Anthony Richardson (LaSandra), Winferd Richardson (Stephanie), Ronnie Richardson (Emma), Anise Daffin (Edward), Sandra Richardson, Brenda Ramsey (Flim), Mary Richardson, Alicia Patterson (Clifton), Melanie Houston (Christopher) and Edna Billingsley; his stepchildren, JLyn and Jaheem Taylor; his former wife Omega Taylor; his nephews, Mario Powell and Edward Daffin, II; his cousins, Doug and Jamie Yelder; and his friends, Marcus Worthy and Walter "Carseta" Collins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Jackson Memorial Funeral Home (203 E Ross St, Jackson, AL 36545). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church (24957 Co Rd 34, Leroy, AL 36548).
