Merida (Jerel Merida Sr.) and Andrew DuBose (Shandell DuBose); her grandchildren, John Raine Jr., Cornelius Raine, Aja Vail, Jerel Merida Jr. (Shani Merida), Chelsey J. Merida, Jared Merida (Moesha Pritchett), Andrea DuBose, Jasmine Duff, Andranice DuBose, Ron'Darius Jones and Caron Montgomery; her great grandchildren, Jaleah Raine, Gene Martin, Kylee M. Merida, Jerel Merida III and Korena DuBose-Kim; her siblings, Maple Gamble (Louise Gamble), Marion Goodwin and Ulrica Gamble; her brother-in-law Frank Jakson; her grandchildren, NaPortia, Katie, Kierston, Victor, Nicholas, Makayla, Roderick, Alysia, Andi and Antwan; her goddaughter Wendy Marie Gamble; and her close friends, Charlie Jean Jackson-Gulley, Elizabeth Burrell, Gaines, Gretchen McCorquodale, Mack, Diane McCorquodale and Doshia Dean. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family members, and dear friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Pine Chapel Baptist Church #2 (829 Toddtown Rd, Grove Hill, AL 36451). A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at the Woodlawn Cemetery (1070 Center St, Jackson, AL 36545).
