It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mother Retha Love Bettis of Jackson, Alabama, born in Grove Hill, Alabama, who passed away on June 9, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Retha Love Bettis and Sis; her children, Gloria Ann Dickinson, Victoria Patterson, Elosie Sullivan and Q. V. Chapman; and her sister Katherine Jefferson (John).
She is survived by: her children, House of Faith, Melvin Dickinson, Kenneth, Carrie Reed (T. C.), Jackie Reed (Van), Jane James, Teresa R. Bettis and Mary Simmons; her son-in-law Spencer Sullivan; and her uncle Dauphine Roper Jr.. She is also survived by four grandchildren; forty - two great grandchildren; twenty great, great, grandchildren.
