We are sad to announce that, on August 18, 2025, at the age of 89, Betty Irene Bonds of Jacksonville, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William "Pops" Bonds; her parents, Guy McVeigh and Ophelia McVeigh; and her siblings, Johnny McVeigh, Edward McVeigh, Richard McVeigh, Harold McVeigh, Emma McVeigh, Doris Riley, May Thompson and Pearl Turner.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Griffin, Candy Johnson, Patty Drinkard and Sheila Griffin; and her grandchildren, Alexandria Griffin, Trey Drinkard, Preston Drinkard and Jon Lucas Martin.
In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in honor of her love for sitting on the porch, watching her roses bloom, and her trees grow tall.
