He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Wayne and Frances Jeanelle Byars. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Carson Byars; his daughter Laura; his son-in-law Brad Johnson; his son Nick; his daughter-in-law Chasity Byars; his grandchildren, Caleb Pearson and Brylee Byars; and his sisters, Kim (Robert Torbett) and Brooke (Harry Brown). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sherrell Westbury Funeral Home (212 E College St, Jackson, GA 30233). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sherrell Memorial Chapel (212 E College St, Jackson, GA 30233).
