She was predeceased by: her husband Charles B. Carr; her parents, John Dawson and Corine Fitzpatrick Clark; her sister Alice Noll; her brother-in-law Bill Noll; her brother Tom Clark; and her pets, Chichi, Max, Emmie and Louie.
She is survived by: her children, D. Michele Morgan (Warren) of Jacksonville, Mendi Carol Smitherman (Preston) of Maryville, Tennessee and Mike A. Thackerson of Jacksonville; her sister Nita Ditz (Tom) of Madison; her sister-in-law Margie Clark of Oxford; and her great grandchild Adalynn Marie Burton. She is also survived by eight grandchildren.
