He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Ray and Mary Ann Ray; and his brother Wayland Ray. He is survived by: his wife Doris Ray; his children, David Ray (Donna) and Lisa McCurdy (Jeff); his grandchildren, Wendell Taylor (Kimberly), Braden Ray (Alexis), Blake Ray (Jaylee), Caitlin McKay (Kyle) and Joseph Grizzard; his great grandchildren, Kaysen Deerman, Kaydance Taylor, Halston Ray, Isabella Patterson, Harper McKay, Brigslee McKay, Axl McKay, Edi McKay, Oli McKay, Karina Grizzard and Rossi Grizzard; and his sisters, Ceretha Ray and Jacquelyn Hefner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Anniston Memorial Funeral Home (3865 US-431, Anniston, AL 36206). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
