Though Betty may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Betty touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Chester Long, Sr.; her son Chester Long, Jr.; her mother Leona Call; and her brother Earnest Rash. She is survived by: her children, Shelly Williamson (Steve), Dawn Long and Carl Long; her sister-in-law Vickie Rash; and her brother Calton Rash (Joyce). She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Collins-Burke Funeral Home (303 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (501 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504).
