She is survived by: her children, Sonya Carol Rutledge Parnell, Jeff Parnell and Howard Franklin Rutledge, Jr.; her grandchildren, Ansley Parnell Allen (Hunter), John Ivan Rutledge, Mason Thomas Parnell and Ross Franklin Rutledge (Alexis Stewart); her great grandchildren, Maryella Carolyn Rutledge, Andee Jean Rutledge and Lelia Mae Allen; her stepsiblings, Marsha Abbott Moulder and Mikel H. Abbott; her sister Martha Rutledge Banks; and her brother-in-law Neil. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her non-profit of choice was the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
