He was predeceased by: his son Caleb Deavours; his parents, Charles Deavours and Carrie Deavours; and his siblings, Ted Deavours and Norma Nabors.

He is survived by: his son Patrick Deavours (Danielle); his granddaughter Skylar Deavours; his sisters, Bonita Taylor and Wanda Barnes; and his nieces and nephews, Melanie Taylor, Patti Tucker, Diane Welch, Allison Sweigard, Landon Taylor, Eric Barnes, Tyler Barnes, Scott Deavours, Freddy Nabors, Joel Nabors and Steve Nabors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Walker College Foundation or Woodland Trace Church of Christ.
