It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Franklin Caldwell of Jasper, Alabama, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Melba Irene Ratliff Caldwell; his son James Franklin Caldwell Jr. "Jamie"; his parents, Clarence Hunter Caldwell and Marjorie Elizabeth Waldrop Caldwell; his brother Donald C. Caldwell; his son-in-law Geoff Perdue; and his mother-in-law Margaret Irene Ratliff.

He is survived by: his daughters, Carla Caldwell and Amy C. Herren (Mark); his grandchildren, Anna Caldwell, Laura Caldwell, Tanner Perdue and Kesley Perdue; and his sister Joyce C. Patterson.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Walker County Community Foundaiton.
