He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesse King and Sarah King; his daughter Vicki James; his grandson Sean McCune; and his siblings, Patricia Calahan, Albert King, Lewis and Lamont Bittikofer.

He is survived by : his wife Norma June King; his children, Randy James (Alice), Sandra Gibson (Sandy) and Paulette Haggard; and his brother Fred Bennykofer (Betty). He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Building Fund.
