With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jimmy Carter of Jasper, Alabama, who passed away on May 11, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Carter and William M. Carter; and his siblings, Mary Foster, Betty Jean Lee and William Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Katherine Carter of Jasper; his children, Tracy L. Carter of Alabaster and John David Carter (Dana) of Alabaster; his sisters, Billie Ruth Cook and Shirley Morris (Charles) of Hoover; his sister-in-law Doris Carter; his brother James Robert "Bobby" Carter (Judy) of Jasper; and his grandchildren, Addison and Luke Carter.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
