He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Opalene Darty; his great grandchild Lucas Higginbotham; his parents, Sam Darty and Rose Darty; and his siblings, Beverley Smith, David Darty, Don Darty, Terry Darty and Dale Darty.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Darty (Tina), Mike Darty (Vicki), Tim Darty (Misty) and Sherry Darty Henslee (Ken); his grandchildren, Beth Walker (Jeremy), Joey Darty (Emily), Ryan Darty, Sharae Manasco (Zac), Makenzie Parker (Chase), Alex Darty, Blake Darty (Caleigh), Britney Williams (Billy) and Niki Higginbotham (R. J.); his great grandchild Kyla; and his brother Sammy Darty. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Curry Cemetery (6451 Curry Hwy, Jasper, AL 35503).
