She was predeceased by: her husbands, Raymond H. Kimbrell and Luther Thomas Gurganus (L. T.); her children, Jennie K. Jones and Quena Gurganus Mears; her parents, Fletcher Wade and Willie Nelle Herzig Wade; her sister Betty Plyler; her grandparents, Lorenzo Dowe Waid, Julie Sanford Waid, Willie Emil Herzig and Maude Bell Key Herzig; and her in-laws, Dorothy Kimbrell, Lemon and Marietta Gurganus.
She is survived by: her children, Janice K. Gosnell (Doug), Rebecca J. Kimbrell (Andrew Parker), Mike Gurganus (Kate), Rob Gurganus (Emily) and Sandy Mears (Denise); her grandson Robert Gosnell (Athena); and her brother David Wade (Helen). She is also survived by her family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kilgore-Green (1200 Birmingham Ave, Jasper, AL 35501). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
