He was predeceased by: his parents, Lilly Mae McLain and John Taylor McLain. He is survived by: his wife Brenda McLain of Jasper; his children, Nicole McLain (Lucas Shubert) of Jasper and Johnathan McLain of Jasper; his siblings, Faye Ivey (Charles) of Jasper, Barbara Sanford (Randy) of Jasper, Kay Tissier (James) of Jasper, Beth Crump (Scott) of Jasper, James "Cotton" McLain (Janna) of Carbon Hill, Jackie McLain (Judy) of Jasper and Jimmy McLain (Maria) of Jasper; and his grandsons, Jarrett McLain (Kilee) of Dora and John Dillon McLain of Tuscaloosa.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Hunters Chapel Holy Church of Christ (331 Hunters Chapel Rd, Jasper, AL 35501). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
