He is survived by: his children, Kristin Colburn of Jasper and Lawrence O'Neal "Buddy" Akins, III (Tabatha) of Jasper; his sister Cherrie Lockhart (Mark) of Jasper; the mother of his children Tammy Akins Williams; and his grandchildren, Hayden "Mater" Colburn, Brantley Akins, Bryant Akins and Annslee Colburn.
