He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Jean Owens and James Preston Owens; and his sister Vickie Koen. He is survived by: his wife Courtney Warren Owens; his children, Wendy Owens, James Owens (Leighann) and David Levi Owens; his siblings, Cheryl Owens, Kathy Bailey (Johnny), Carol Crain (Chris), Kelly Bryant (Gary) and Brad Owens; and his grandchildren, Seth Howell, James Lee Owens, Blade Howell, Krimson Howell, Chloe Howell, Theodore McBryde and Jackson Lane Owens.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Collins-Burke Funeral Home (303 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Collins-Burke Chapel (303 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504).
