He was predeceased by: his parents, George McGinnis and Billie Jean McGinnis; his sister Vicky Hudson; and his mother-in-law Avice Wakefield. He is survived by: his wife Melinda McGinnis; his children, Tammy Hallmon (John), Rachel Spiller (Patrick) and Chris McGinnis (Crissy); and his brothers, Dewayne McGinnis (Gail) and Randy McGinnis (Eva). He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Collins-Burke Funeral Home (303 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Collins-Burke Chapel (303 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504).
