She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Edward Jackson Sr.; her daughter Shelia Jackson Gamble of Birmingham; her father Lawrence East; and her siblings, Larry East and Betty Southern.

She is survived by: her children, Carl Edward Jackson, Jr. of Birmingham and Sharon Jackson Sides of Jasper; her grandchildren, Jason Gamble (Michelle), Allan Gamble (Jill), Payton Sides and Kaylee Sides; her great grandchildren, Hannah Gamble, Gracelyn Sides, Jantzen Callaway and Madelyn Sides; her siblings, Doris Harris of Marietta and Keith East (Aggie) of Pensacola; and her sister-in-law Clara East of Jasper.

Memorials may be given to the Building Fund of Jasper's First Baptist Church.
