He was predeceased by : his son Matthew Capps; his parents, Reburn Capps and Ethelene Capps; and his grandparents, Ola, Cora Capps, Monroe and Dora Tidwell.

He is survived by : his wife Glenda Capps; his sisters, Barbara Wilson (J. W.), Mary Martin and Shelia Mann (Milton); his grandchildren, Jayde, Austin and Caiden; and his great grandchild Ales.
